Some pretty cool news coming out of Reebok today as they’ve announced they return of their Reebok BB 4000 II. For those that may not know, the Reebok BB 4000 II is a transcendent lifestyle basketball sneaker from the brand’s 1980s “BB” footwear range.

Reebok’s “BB” footwear series made its debut in 1986. Through the ‘80s and ‘90s, the “BB” footwear series dropped some of the market’s most disruptive court sneakers, top-tier athlete partnerships, and irreverent ads that injected new energy into basketball culture and helped bridge the gap between hardwood and concrete. In 1989, the Reebok BB 4000 II made its debut, an evolution of its low-cut BB 4000, one of the brand’s first basketball sneakers to crossover from court to street.

This interpretation of the Reebok BB 4000 II carries forward the model from 1989 with subtle value adds. A versatile silhouette, the Reebok BB 4000 II comes with a premium construction that’s good to go regardless of your wardrobe or lifestyle. Details include a premium leather upper, the Reebok side-stripe and cross-check branding, a unique split Union Jack tongue logo nodding 80’s brand heritage, an EVA rubber midsole, and a durable outsole featuring classic basketball tooling. Below you will find three different intro colorways of the model, all paying homage to ‘80s and ‘90s street culture, the golden age of basketball, and iconic Reebok “BB” moments:

White/grey/red looking back to ‘90 and Reebok’s Pump Twilight Zone.
White/green nodding “BB” during Boston’s ‘86 playoff run, and the brand’s U.S. headquarters.
Black/white/orange nodding Pump Omni Zone and Dee Brown’s historic “no look” dunk.

Retailing for just $90, look for the Reebok BB 4000 II to make its return globally beginning October 28 from Reebok.com and select retailers.

In Jordan Brand news, the Air Jordan 9 Boot NRG Black Gum debuts on October 19th.
