The 1988 NBA Slam Dunk Contest is one of the most iconic moments in sports history as Michael Jordan won the title with his legendary “free throw line” dunk. Jordan Brand is paying homage to that free throw line dunk with this new Air Jordan 1 Mid which is showcased in grade school sizing. Taking on a full leather build on the upper, this Air Jordan 1 Mid features red and tan throughout the majority of the shoe along with black accents on the Swooshes, laces, and inner liner. Signature design highlights include graphic insoles and the time of the legendary dunk, 3:51, printed behind the tongues as well as on the lateral heels. Colored Wings logos on the lateral ankles, white rubber midsoles, and black outsoles round out this Air Jordan 1 Mid “Dunk Contest” that will be releasing in the coming weeks. Are you a fan of this colorway or do you think more could have been done to pay homage to this iconic moment?
