The beloved New Balance 997 gets a makeover. Making its debut later on this year, here is a first look at the New Balance 997R.
The original New Balance 997 dropped back in 1991. The model got recognition due to the fact that it comes laced with unique blend of style and technology that utilized New Balance’s ENCAP and C-CAP cushioning in the midsole. Although the New Balance 997R does get its inspiration from the OG, it does comes with some differences of its own. Shown in a clean Grey finish, the sneaker is constructed in a mix of mesh, pebbled leather, and pigskin suede. Aside from the difference in shape, another notable details include the tuck-away “N” logos on the sides and the newly reworked rubber sole.
What are your initial thoughts on the New Balance 997R? There’s not tentative release date for the new model yet, but current reports have these dropping later on this year. Stay tuned for additional info.
