After being with Nike since 2011, Dallas Mavericks’ star Kyrie Irving will no be part of the ANTA family as he just officially signed a five-year endorsement agreement with the renowned Chinese sportswear brand. Not only will he be endorsing the brand, Kyrie has also been named the Chief Creative Officer at the company.
Kyrie Irving’s deal with ANTA is estimated to be valued at $11 million annually, making it one of the most lucrative sneaker partnerships in the NBA. As the Chief Creative Officer of ANTA, Kyrie is able to recruit and collaborate with players and other individuals. This also paves the way for ANTA to initiate its manufacturing process in the United States, thus facilitating full-scale distribution within the country.
Kyrie Irving is big time in the Chinese sportswear market. With ANTA looking to sign high-profile NBA player for an endorsement deal, this announcement should not have been that much of a shocker. With the signing of Kyrie, it’s safe to say that ANTA’s global presence will increase in the coming years.
